The giant panda is the rarest member of the bear family and among the world’s most threatened animals, facing both habitat loss and poaching. There are currently fewer than 2,500 in the wild. WWF has been active in giant panda conservation since 1980, and was the first international conservation organization to work in China at the Chinese government’s invitation. WWF is now helping the government of China to undertake its National Conservation Program for the giant panda and its habitat.

I am really disappointed! Why didn’t you put “LAST WEEK ON SALE” on the WWF items?I was saving money to buy them, and now I can’t buy them anymore!!
Also I collect all PS items now my entire collection is ruined!!I can’t even trade with someone who has them because Cash Shop Items are not giftable after they leave the store!
I’ve bought items since there was no houses, no rooms, the whole city was different and now, all my efford is pointless.

Yeah! Why don’t they put back the polar bear? It also help WWF if somebody buy it. They can choose Polar Bear or Panda. It also help too much if they bring back the Polar Bears. They Can Also Choose Which One They Will Buy. Panda Or Polar Bear.

I was very sad about polar bear items are removed and do not have any notices before……
When you remove other items on other shops, you will have notice for them. Why did you do nothing about polar bear? Those items was not just for Playfish profit but also for the World Wildlife Fund’s……
You jsut do what you want and do not care what are the feeling of players……
I am really disappointed. I do not want to support you anymove……

It’s unfair…..you mentioned in this blog that the WWF theme items will be instore until 31Dec09…..that makes us assumed that the polar bear will be here until December!!!
If you can put the ugly iron scroll theme items on sale for the whole week just to warn us that they’re gonna be taken away……why can’t you put the polar bear on sale as well???
It’s just another tactic for you guyz to make all of us buy the cash shop items as soon as they come out……….

I am really surprised that it wasn’t announced that you were taking the polar bears away. It’s pretty misleading when you originally post that they will be available to the end of the year then switch it out now.

For the people kvetching about ‘wanting to protect pandas so take them out of the cash shop already’, two thoughts.
1. PS is going to donate part of the sales proceeds to WWF. No cash shop, no sale. No sale, no proceeds. No proceeds, no donations. Following my logic?
2. This one’s really awesome. Oh, you’re going to love this, I guarantee. Everyone will be happy, even the polar bears!
Take the cash you were going to invest in the Pet Society pixels…*and donate it to WWF yourself*. Or volunteer with them. Or be mindful about how you live your life, and how it affects all the lives around you.
I mean, no use getting so very, very butthurt about things.

The panda items are cute but am really disappointed that the polar bear items were removed without warning. It seems that lots of people wanted to buy these items, so the WWF is missing out on this revenue. Please can you restore these items to the shop for a week to give everyone a fair chance to get these items.

The only reason I bought Playfish cash is because part of my money will be going to WWF for a good cause. 1Playfish cash is only around 18cents in real life. This means all the WWF items only cost a total of $5.76. And for 10% of $5.76 to go to WWF it’s only 57cents!! I bought the $9.99 package. This means, the rest of $9.42 goes to Playfish?! I think more should be donated. E.g. At least 50% of the cost for the package that we buy for Playfish cash. I think that is more fair and comforting to know that Playfish is REALLY SINCERE in donating to WWF and not some quick rich scheme…
